Terms

1. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase alcoholic beverages on this site.  By making a purchase you are certifying that you (and the person who will receive the shipment, if not you) are of legal drinking age.  Making a purchase under false circumstances is a crime in most states.

2. Our shipper is instructed to request an adult signature before leaving shipments containing alcoholic beverages.

3. Title to, and ownership of, all wine purchased on this site passes from buy-a-wine.com to the purchaser in the state of New York.  The purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping the purchased wine from New York to his/her home state.  By arranging for transportation of the wine, buy-a-wine.com is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser.  By using transportation services from buy-a-wine.com, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, shipping and delivery of wine.  The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through any properly licensed intermediaries if required, is legaly entitled to take possession of the wine shipment, and is legally entitled to receive the quantities ordered.  As stated above, the purchaser agrees that he/she, and the receiver of the shipment if not he/she is/are 21 years old.

4. If there is any problem with the availability of items you ordered, our service department will contact you via email.   Your credit card is not charged until we ship your order.

5. If you need to return an item, please email us at service@buy-a-wine.com or call us at (866)797-6751.  Please be careful when placing your order.  Wine returned to us is legally unavailable for resale.  Unless the return is due to our error, you will have to pay the shipping and we will charge a restocking fee.

6. Prices are subject to change without notice.

7. Information gathered is for the sole use of sales, shipping and email notification by buy-a-wine.com.  Information will not be sold or given to third parties. 

8.  SSL (Secured Socket Layer) technology is employed to assure secured entry and transmission of credit card information via encryption.  You know you are making a secured purchase by the appearance of the yellow padlock at the bottom of your checkout screen.  Privacy and security are more fully explained in our Privacy statement.

9.  Notification of Changes - If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our home page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it.  If at any point we intend to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email.  Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
