The Australian Riesling has aromas of spring flowers, and green apples in the drier version. As the wines get sweeter, they have aromas of oranges, peaches, apricots and honeyed nuts. The main difference between a German and an Australian Riesling is that the Australian wine tends to be drier. It still exhibits the characteristics of the grape that we expect: the perfume, the complexity and the zest, but its dryness will make it a better match with food.
